Interact in a virtual environment in real-time
Realtime interaction with virtual models without the need for special goggles. Once the promise of the future, this is here and now with “Augmented Reality” solutions from HoloVis!
Augmented Reality is beyond simple chromakey placement by blue or green screen technology as used by weather presenters. This amazing digital technology is already being used to take presentations, broadcast media, exhibitions and digital marketing to the next level.
Broadcast presenters can be part of a virtual environment or appear to interact with a digital model. Consumers can play a game with virtual players and direct the action in real-time. Retail marketers can immerse their customers in the brand experience to develop higher consideration and conversion ratios.
Augmented Reality is virtually limitless in application!
How does it work?
In its most simple form all that’s required is a normal PC, a screen, a webcam and specialist software. The software integrates live footage captured in real-time with computer generated models and displays it on a normal CRT/LCD/Plasma screen. Augmented Reality works with HD video, can handle media from either fixed or moving cameras and doesn’t require any tracking markers to calibrate.
Augmented Reality has a suite of products that scale according to use. Suitable for those requiring high-end development of theme-park attractions to more modest home users developing web-based applications, Augmented Reality can offer it all.
Augmented Reality integrates 3D computer generated objects into live video. The video is digitally processed and “augmented” with the 3D components in real-time and using image referencing and recognition software the user can interact with the 3D data as though ‘real’ and geometrically tracked/correct within the live video stream.
By playing on the human desire to touch and interact, the benefits are endless! From creating eye-catching interactive solutions for retail and shopping venues, to entertainment and theme park applications, to corporate launches and commercial markets where the use of augmented reality can save huge costs and time in producing and showing physical prototypes.
