Bobbejaanland
We designed and installed Belgium’s first immersive tunnel and the first all-electric immersive tunnel in the world at Bobbejaanland to create The Forbidden Caves.
This electric version improves the safety of the ride by removing hazardous chemicals, increases operational efficiency, reduces maintenance and delivers a much more sustainable and greener attraction.
The display screen wraps around the riders, completely immersing their peripheral vision so putting them at the heart of the story. The sharp 12,000 x 10,500 resolution display is created using seven Projection Design F35 units which are seamlessly edge blended using Holovis’s proprietary auto alignment software, Pix-Control.
Spatial audio further enhances the immersive experience, with a 12.2 stereo sub set up and multi directional spatial sound. These combined effects brings the runaway cave journey to life, with the six on-board speakers transmitting realistic radio communications to add to the immersive thrills of the ride.
SFX including the scent of a musty cave and air moving fans add to the illusion of the riders quickly travelling through a dangerous environment completes an exciting, immersive and engaging experience.
